Why Crafting?
Crafting has long been a form of resistance, especially for women and people of color. We use crafting to build community, appreciate slow production, and as a form of meditation. Historically, knitting was used in WWII as a form of espionage and quilting may have been used on the Underground Railroad to provide directions.
Crafting is political and Collective Craft is committed to building and supporting community through our work.
